[Letter from Senrei Nishikawa]
Written on June 11, 2007

Early summer greeting. Hello, how are you?
It has been three months since I came back from the travel for my dance performance,
eCamille Claudelf made in France and Switzerland.
I am now feeling as if it were my mission to work on the enclosed dance performance.
Late Kazuko Tsurumi used to encourage me constantly and supported me with her elegant,
powerful voice all the time.
It was her words in her book which described about my work
that led me to make my mind up to start performing overseas such as
in Poland, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and even in France.
The classical eShizu no Odamakif is the piece that my mentor Kazuko Tsurumi
performed which became her last stage and is the one for me that I performed 28 years ago.
Another piece is my creative dance performance,
eSuitenf which theme is taken from Minakata Kumagusufs life.
I would do my best for the performance although I am a little nervous since it is the very first time.
The combination seems to represent the classic and the future of the Japanese Buyo Dance
about which the late Kazuko Tsurumi used to talk.
My mountain villa locates a little distant from the crowded downtown area,
however, I would very appreciate if you could visit here for the special evening
to feel the elegance of Late Kazuko Tsurumi on this purifying occasion.

Hoping to see you soon,

Senrei NISHIKAWA
